Student Safeguarding
Keeping You Safe
At Cavendish View School, keeping children safe is one of the most important things we do.
Safeguarding means making sure that all children are safe, cared for and supported both in school and online. We want every child to feel happy, secure and able to learn.
What Does Being Safe Mean?
Being safe means:
- Feeling protected from harm
- Being treated with kindness and respect
- Knowing who to talk to if you are worried
- Feeling safe at school, at home and online
- Getting help when you need it
If Something Is Worrying You
Sometimes children may feel worried, upset, scared or confused about something that is happening.
You might be worried about:
- Yourself
- A friend
- Something happening at home
- Bullying
- Something you have seen online
- Someone’s behaviour towards you
If this happens, it is important to tell a trusted adult.
Who Can Help?
You can speak to:
- Your Teacher
- Your Teaching Assistant
- A Member of the Safeguarding Team
- Any Adult You Trust in School
Remember:
No worry is too small. We will listen to you and help you.
Staying Safe Online
The internet is a great place to learn and have fun, but it is important to stay safe.
Remember to:
💻 Keep personal information private
💻 Be kind online
💻 Tell an adult if something online worries you
💻 Never talk to people online that you do not know
💻 Ask for help if you see anything that makes you uncomfortable
Our Promise to You
Remember
You have the right to feel safe, respected and cared for. If something is worrying you, talk to a trusted adult. We are here to help.
